WHERE HAVE I BEEN?

1 September 2016 Birmingham, UK

it's been a little while since i posted here, but here goes with an attempt at an explanation...

sorry for the very 'wordy' post but, you'll understand why!

it's hard for me to know where to begin with this but i'll start with a little recap on what went down in 2015 for me; it marked the end of a lot of things, some good some bad. university ended, pretty abruptly may i add and somewhere along the way i totally lost myself. despite graduating in september with a first class honours degree in fashion design, i still felt totally lost as to what i was (and am) doing with my life. for the last three years i thought i knew solidly what i wanted to do, but when it came to it, the end of university got me asking a whole lot of questions. is this something i really want to do? what's next? where am i going? it was from that point that for months, i couldn't face anything and social media was one of those things. i wanted a break, some 'me' time, some time to think and keep my phone firmly in my pocket.

totally lost, i ran backed away from a lot of things (my blog included) and made an awful mess for myself along the way, to get to where i am now. good and bad, 2016 has already been a difficult one but i'm finally starting to deal with things; to figure my life out, rebuild and most definitely learn from my mistakes.
recently, standing in front of a camera didn't seem like an option for me. through the stresses of late, my eczema has also returned. for a lot of you, i'm sure you are most likely unaware it's something i've had to deal with all my life. it's hard to quite explain what i'd give to feel totally comfortable in my own skin (quite literally i'm afraid). i'm curious to know if any of you have eczema? or even any conditions that make you feel unassured?  eczema has ruled my life in parts and it's something i've really struggled to deal with, especially during my adult life but that's something for another day...

right now it's time for me to get back on track and get into a good routine so from now on i'll aim to be posting 3-4 times a week. my blog is something i want to focus on (outside my current full-time job) from now. i've been considering trying to take my blog into my full time job so, i'm going to take it a step at a time. i want to drive better content and that hopefully starts from now.

it's been a rollercoaster 6-8 months so, here's to new beginnings...

with that said, i'd quite like to get some feedback from you guys to see what you'd like to see more/less of on 'the style archive' going forward..
