Another bank holiday weekend, spent in Bristol. This time, we went down for the 10k run they do each year and to just have a nosey round.
I, of course, didn’t run so naturally went for a beer before heading out for dinner & checking into the hotel. We stopped in the Avon Gorge Hotel and honestly, it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s not long been renovated and boy, she’s a beauty! I ‘m pretty sure I could live in there. (Would recommend a quick google if you fancy a nosey).
The group of us went out for dinner near Millennium Square before getting an early night after an early start to drive down.
Monday was spent eating some fancy breakfast, with a beautiful view of the Clifton Suspension Bridge & the gorge. If you haven’t been to Clifton, it’s well worth a visit; even just for the bridge! After breakfast and packing up our things, we all headed out for a bit of shopping. Being a relatively small village (and a bank holiday Monday) things were pretty quiet. I spent most of my time browsing in charity shops and finding what I could. Genuinely regret not buying that blazer! I still came away with a shirt and some trainers which, no doubt, you’ll see on here.
Side note: I’m kind of tempted to do a post of some things I’ve picked up over the past however long. Not that it’s a lot, but, I know people love those posts. Let me know if it’s something you’d like to see.
After some shopping, it was time to leave and of course on route home there was a stop at Gloucester Services. If you’ve been, you’ll know exactly what i’m on about but, if not, just think of a farm-shop with loads of local produce and INCREDIBLE chocolate brownies!
There we have it, just a super quick round up of some things I did over the bank holiday weekend. Here’s what I wore:
