Hello hello! I thought I’d do a (hopefully) short and sweet round up of what I got up to over my extended bank holiday weekend. I booked an extra couple of days off at the end to give myself a tasty six day break!
Over the ~ actual ~ weekend, I got my hair done (for the first time since january) and spent some time with some friends from uni. We went out for a Wagamamas and chilled out with some drinks before going to bed far too late. The following day, we had pancakes for breakfast before going bowling at Lane 7. I couldn’t tell you the last time I’d been bowling but, considering, I didn’t do too badly! Lane 7 also have some arcade games so of course, we made the most of it.
On Monday, a group of us headed to Devon for a friends birthday. We stopped in an airbnb - a lovely little rural cottage, hidden away in the countryside. The weather was most definitely in our favour so we had a barbecue and played scrabble outside before hitting the gin! Needless to say there were some sore heads on Tuesday morning… Regardless, we got up and headed to the beach. The weather was a little overcast and generally, not all that great but, we still had a nice chilled day.
We took my friends dog into the sea (which was bloody freezing) and ventured into some of the rock pools! Somehow we just managed to miss the rain before heading home and making some dinner (and a few more gins).
We’d planned to take the dog for a walk in Dartmoor on Wednesday but, the weather was relentless. It absolutely chucked it down all morning so we decided to give it a miss and head home a bit earlier than planned. No drive from down south is complete without a stop off at Gloucester services. If you’ve been, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about but, if you haven’t you definitely need to go!
And, that folks, is pretty much it! My body is most definitely not going to sink back into work very easily but, such is life.
I hope you’re enjoying these more lifestyle posts. I’m really enjoying making this space a bit more of a diary and sharing a lot more with you all.
Thanks for reading,
