Say hello to some photo's that Amie and I shot last weekend when it was absolutely chucking it down. We tried to shoot outside when we could but then the rain got the better of us! We headed to a local café (that was actually about to close) who kindly let us take shelter from the rain and shoot some images inside. One thing I love about these images is the very convenient red table. I think it works reallywell with the hearts on my dress and my nails too. One thing I'd love to do is reshoot in this location but, entirely on film. I think it'd work really nicely and give even more depth to the shots. There's a whole paragraph I could write about that but, lets talk this dress.
What an absolute bargain of a find. When I found this button through number, I was actually on the hunt for something to wear to my works summer party. I'd searched high and low for something I absolutely loved but couldn't seem to put my finger on exactly what I wanted. I actually ordered this and another dress from ASOS, on a total whim I must admit, so I could try them both and see how I felt. I'd already favoured this one but, wasn't totally convinced until I'd actually taken it out the packaging and tried it on. I initially ordered an 8 which fitted me perfectly around the waist but, it was a bit tight over my chest and was pulling slightly. I tried it with and without a bra but, it didn't really make much difference. I don't actually think I'd be able to wear this without a bra anyway - it's pretty see through in places! I ended up re-ordering a size 10 in the end which, admittedly doesn't fit me so well around the waist but was definitely worth the extra space around the chest. This dress really isn't something I'd normally go for but honestly, i've fallen a little bit in love with it. Any chance I get, it's straight on. They also have it in a cherry print which I'm desperate to get my hands on. I'm just (not-so) patiently waiting for it to come back into stock in my size.
Lightweight dresses like this are absolutely perfect for everything; festivals, a day out shopping or a night out. They look amazing dressed up with heels or sandals but also look amazing dressed down with vans or converse. There’s plenty of options I’ve seen on ASOS but other high street stores have some cute ones too. I’m also very keen to get my hands of a nice little vintage number so if you have any recommendations for some stores to look at, feel free to send the, my way!
