Hello lovely people! Happy Weekend!
This weekend I’m heading down south to see my best friend and then heading back to the midlands to shoot some content for her (she’s a freelance photographer so check out her work here!) Of course, I’m biased, but she’s ridiculously talented if I do say so myself.
And despite some of these photographs being blurry, I absolutely love how they’ve come out. I shot with the lovely Eunice (@fashionenth on Instagram) a while back and wanted to take some film shots. I think with the type of garment this blazer is, and the fact it’s a thrifted piece, it works really well for this post! Anyway, before I waffle on any more, as I normally manage to, I want to talk more about this blazer…
I purchased it whilst I was in New York from Beacon’s Closet near Williamsburg. In no way was I particularly looking for a blazer but, when I spotted this number, I wasn’t going to leave without it. I absolutely love vintage pieces so this store was heaven for me. FYI if you’re in this area, I would whole heartedly recommend heading to Beacon’s Closet. They have a few stores across New York but from personal experience, and things I’ve read online, it’s well worth the trip to any of them!
Blazers are something I find so versatile. In summer they look amazing with skirts or over dresses and in the winter months layered over the top of a hoodie. I’m normally quite fussy when it comes to big silhouettes and heavily padded shoulders but, in this instance, thanks to the houndstooth fabric, I think it adds to the 'I-stole-your-grandad’s-blazer’ look.
